Judge, jury, and executioner, all in one. That was Judge Dredd. Despite living in what is left of America, Dredd was created in England. It's appalling and depressing how the very people who claim to love and defend freedom for all of us are so willing to throw it out the window precisely when it should be defended with ruthless diligence.
Additionally, silly prejudices and lack of critical thinking mire our efforts to achieve a proper open society. Sometimes it's hard not to feel like Sisyphus.
